The Areca Palm loves bright indirect light. It is important to place it somewhere where it can receive plenty of light, but not direct sunlight, which could damage its delicate leaves. A medium to bright-light environment is ideal for its well-being.
When and how to water it
During summer, we recommend watering the Areca Palm every 7 days, while every 14 days is sufficient in winter. It is important to water thoroughly, while allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. You can check the soil moisture by inserting a finger into the substrate: if it feels dry, it is time to water.
Temperature and humidity
The Areca Palm thrives in an environment with temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. It is important not to expose it to temperatures below 10 degrees. Ideal humidity is between 40% and 60%, so a moderately humid environment is perfect for it.
The right fertilizer
During spring and summer, we recommend fertilizing the Areca Palm every 30 days with a balanced liquid fertilizer. This will help the plant maintain its vigor and beauty.
The pot and soil
For the Areca Palm, well-drained soil is essential. A mix of peat, sand, and perlite is ideal for providing the right drainage and nutrients. Make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
